I used to be in good shape in high school from several different sports I was involved in, but when College came, I suddenly was not involved in anything physical.
Combine that with 5 years of poor eating habits and the fact that I spend many hours plopped in front of a computer screen working, and you have a 23 year old in the worst shape of their life.
I didn’t see myself that way though. I still saw myself how I looked before. I knew I had put on some extra pounds, but I didn’t think I looked the way I did.
It wasn’t until I started seeing myself in pictures, and after I received several nasty comments from people I knew (some were friends), that I finally knew I was on a path leading to disaster.
I wasn’t changing my eating habits and wasn’t getting any regular exercise, so I was only going to get worse. I decided it was time to make a change and get fit and back on track eating healthy.
That was when, like so many others, while channel surfing I landed on a P90x infomercial. I never have bought into an infomercial before, and never have watched one because I was actually interested in the product.
P90x looked fun, and different. I liked the “muscle confusion” concept and that there were 12 different workouts. I get bored of working out easily, so the variety was a HUGE plus for me. I liked the idea that in just 90 days I could have great results!
I did some research on it and after finding tons of positive feedback and seeing amazing results, I thought I’d change my situation and head down the path towards better fitness and health. This blog chronicles my journey towards better health and fitness.
