I ended P90x at 171 lbs. In the 9 months after it I gained 35 lbs. WHAT HAPPENED???

I ended P90x at 171 lbs. In the 9 months after it I gained 35 lbs.

WHAT HAPPENED???

It has now been over a year since I first popped P90x in and pressed play. The journey was hard, but it was well worth it. It was a busy time in my life so there were several times when I found myself doing the workouts after midnight. I pushed myself hard, I followed the nutrition plan, and I lost 11 lbs. After most of the workouts I wrote down my thoughts and then later when I had time I posted them on this website.

I started P90x January 2009 and completed all three phases by April. I felt great, but I fell off the wagon. Several months later I found myself at the heaviest I have ever been, 206 lbs. I gained 35 lbs in 9 months!

In 9 months I gained the 11 lbs I had lost, plus another 24 lbs. I gained more fat in those 9 months than I did in the 5 years before I started P90x.

I was doing good, I was exercising and eating right, so what happened? I finished the 3 phases of P90x, but after it I made two critical mistakes.

Goodbye P90x, hellooo cheeseburgers!

I ATE JUNK AND I STOPPED EXERCISING!!!

I stopped pressing play. I stopped eating right. I kept telling myself stuff like, “I’ll start P90x again tomorrow”. “Tomorrow” continued to be tomorrow, so I never did it.

9 months later here I am, having to start all over again. I have started doing P90x again, and this time I’m not going to fall off the wagon.

Keep pressing play, continue to exercise and eat right, and don’t be lazy like I was! If you are lazy and keep yourself from working out and eating right, you are only hurting yourself.

Now go exercise!

It's time to show my P90x results. After three hard months of working out and eating right I finished my first run through. Here's my P90x Results.

P90x Results – My First Time Through

It’s time to show my P90x results. After three hard months of working out and eating right I finished my first run through. Here’s my P90x Results.

At the beginning I was unhappy with the way things were headed and I wanted to change it before things got worse, so here I am the day before P90x. I was excited to finally start an exercise program but I had no clue what it would be like!

Pre-P90x Pictures

Starting P90x Measurements

Weight: 182 lbs

Body Fat: 21.8%

P90x wasn’t easy to finish. It’s three grueling months of sweaty workouts, eating right, and tired muscles. I started out pretty weak, but towards the end the workouts were easier to finish, and I actually liked to workout. Working out became easier for me, and I was constantly becoming stronger.

Of course there were days when I didn’t want to do it, but I stuck with it and as the days blew buy, I suddenly found myself on day 90, and my first run through P90x was over! I was so happy to finish P90x! It is a wonderful feeling to actually set a goal and follow through with it!

Day 90 P90x Results

Ending P90x Measurements

Weight: 171 lbs

Body Fat: 15.8%

I have seen others who have achieved much better results with P90x, but I worked hard and I am happy with what I accomplished. I dropped 11 lbs in three months and lost 6% body fat.

I finished P90x and it is a great feeling to have actually stuck with something and finish it.

Towards the end I fell behind and failed to write a post daily, but I kept pressing play and followed through with the workouts and now I have finished my first run through of P90x!

So many times have I told myself I’m going to start exercising and then start full of steam, and then give up within a week. This is the hardest thing I have done in a while and it was the longest time I have consistently worked out in 5 years.

I absolutely recommend P90x to anyone thinking about trying it. It isn’t easy, but it is well worth it to finish it. The benefits of keeping with it make it very worthwhile!!

I will write up a detailed review and post my ending stats, pictures, and more soon.

*UPDATE* You can now check out my P90x Results

Ab ripper is always tough. Just when I think I’ve gotten good at one excercise I try the harder version and it destroys my abs.

With all the push ups and pull ups you have to do in P90x you’d have to be doing something horribly wrong to not be able to do more than what you could before you started P90x.
